Shira and Sascha have contributed several coats of weather-proof gloss to Andy's melody-driven compositions and thoughtful primer. The sound that once was just a dream, '10 Years of Travel', is the apotheosis of Soft Cotton County.
Slow-burning vanilla notes and bittersweet words, never knowingly unmelodic. Subtle hooks that will hold a heavy raincoat or a silk summer shawl: quirk, strangeness and charm.
"...the music of Soft Cotton County floats dreamily within lovely harmonious compositions... Sometimes enchanting, sometimes dark..." Radio Q
"This is folk music from 22 century... delicious... it will keep your party enthralled and flummoxed..." KZSU

'Maybe I've been to the crossroads,' he said reading our faces as the last carefully crafted, effortlessly executed twang resonated around the room. There was much to discuss, and still some work to do. The record you hold in your velvet gloves is the fine result of this effort...
With a little help from friends, no doubt, this is Hugo's best work.

After many successful concerts they came to London and got to work with producer Martin 'Youth' Glover of Killing Joke, who has worked with The Verve, Paul McCartney, Pink Floyd and many others. The single Running 'Round in Circles is a bold statement on ambition, expectation and doubt.

Love Maschine - Connected - A.Casselle & T.Gillieron remix
Love Maschine - Connected - Ashley Casselle & Tom Gillieron remix
2. Connected (Love Maschine Remix) - 5:38
This track marks his second foray of 2015 into the reworking of a rock act into something more Housey and dreamlike.
His remake of top Indie band (and Glasto faves) The Egg's 'Electric City' (a collaborative single with Ulrich Schnauss) was an atmospheric Summer masterpiece that paved the way for a fresh approach to remixing for him, and this new reworking for Hamburg's 5000 Records label neatly picks up on those Brian Eno inspired filmscore elements, nailed to driving skippy drum machine grooves, that signify an incoming Casselle remix these days.
As a resident dj at his own monthly Sunday Dayrise Enterprise parties in East London, Ashley's been plying his trade and getting on with evolving his own take on House & Techno, making his own records & productions resonate with an array of influences new and old.
Inspired as much by the Earthy raw grooves of classic US artists such as Ron Trent or Chez Damier, as he is by the new wave of producers such as Matthias Meyer or Lawrence and Smallville Records, he's come a long way since being one half of Electronica act Ashtrax in the early to mid Noughties, scoring many a club hit along the way. He's now returned to his deep underground roots in a quest to find a smooth, trippy yet traditionally club friendly signature House sound.
Engineered and mixed by sound designer Tom Gillieron, and mastered by Justin Drake, Casselle has a dream team around him who all contribute to the warm remixes and new tracks emerging from an exciting stable of talent.

Stefan's musical journey began early. At the age of twelve, in a local record shop he bought his first 12" vinyl - AC/DC, "Touch Too Much". However, it was Funk & Soul music that made a deep impression on him. Soon, he was on a mission to get his hands on every influential album he could find. Completely seduced by the "magic of vinyl", he quickly turned into a passionate and avid record collector, digging through crates of second-hand records at flea markets and vinyl auctions, searching for all kinds of Jazz, Funk & Soul rarities. He realised that he had turned into a "vinyl-junkie," and had developed an addiction to Funk & Soul music, so when he happened to meet the owner of "Starpoint", a record shop in Hamburg, a connection was made for life. The source of his "vinyl-needs" had been encountered and Stefan soon became the shop's first employee.
He then began creating his own mix-tapes, which he exchanged with friends and music lovers, who shared the same passion and taste in music. These"Schoenewerke Tapes" quickly became a "must have" in his circle and eventually got him his first gigs as a DJ. This was the beginning of his DJ career. In the late 80's, he bought a "Roland S50" sampler, a "Yamaha SY85" synth and an Atari 1040ST Cubase sequencer and started writing his own music, as well as collaborating with other musicians. He began using the "Ableton Live" software for all his studio productions in 2005. He experimented with more progressive sounds and rhythms, such as Techno and House music and from this MELLOWTRON was born. Stylistically influenced by Jazz, Funk, Soul, Rap, Hip-Hop and House, he developed more of an interest for the world of electronic music and sounds.
Mellowtron prefers to keep an open mind and dislikes his music being labelled or in a genre. He says: "I think that music has no boundaries, no limits to how it can grow and where it can go, no restrictions on its creativity. Good music is good no matter what kind of music it is. And I hate labelling. I think it has no place in music."
"DJ-ing is my way of bringing the music I love and adore to people and dance-floor audience's across Europe. In fact, the separation between all of us can be removed through music. There is only one thing, and that's the magic in music! Music has always found its way to us. It has always found me, and hopefully always will."

At the turn of the century, the now lead singer Tony Jackson made a bold move, he put aside his well worn film camera and picked up a guitar, kick-starting a journey that would see him jettison the UK and head south for the rock 'n' roll capital of Australia... Melbourne.
Touching down in OZ, the dust didn't have time to settle before Jackson was face to face with the three Swash-buckling troubadours that would ultimately become...the infamous 'Speed Orange:
Aaron D'Arcy - Tickling the keys and troubling the six strings.
Ben Roberts - whacking the skins and warbling like a choir of virgins.
Andy Steward - Blinding the bass and burning the sixer.
It had all come down to this moment, a sun-burnt country, four men, all outlaws if you will, together on a single mission... To release the melodies trapped deep in the rubble of their minds. Whiskey bottles, broken hearts and shattered dreams littered the path as they recorded their debut long player "The Virgin of Guadalupe" (Named after the patron Saint of Mexico City "The Virgin of Guadalupe" is thought to come to the aid of souls in deep trouble. Legend has it that 'Speed Orange' were visited by the Virgin after a disastrous sound check for a gig in Mexico City, Nov 2004... The gig itself went really well.)
Beneath the albums deceivingly upbeat melodies the torture of lost love whistles away like a tormented temptress. Introspective, personal, yet at times downright flirty, the stories told in these twelve songs take you on a journey from despair to hope and back again.
But where it all makes sense, where it all comes together, is the live arena. Its here that 'Speed Orange' have earned their reputation as wanted men. With spit and fire they play even the most gentle song like it's a life or death situation, and that's because for them... It is.
The video clip to 'Oh Mama' the first single off the album is available on the label's web site and other video sites. (Thanks to Trevor, Margie, Arthur, Sam, Rob and Simon for helping to make it happen!)
